Lerner Enterprises and Dulles Town Center Mall, L.L.C. Announce the Grand Opening of JCPenney at Dulles Town Center
Dulles, VA - Lerner Enterprises and Dulles Town Center Mall, L.L.C. announce the Grand Opening of the JCPenney department store at Dulles Town Center. JCPenney will be the third anchor store to open in the new 1.2 million square foot super-regional mall currently under construction in Dulles, Loudoun County, Virginia.
After a VIP reception Tuesday evening, JCPenney will officially open to the public on Wednesday March 3rd. Area residents were treated to a Grand Opening Preview of the newest JCPenney store on Saturday February 27th. JCPenney will join Hecht's and Lord & Taylor which are currently open for business at Dulles Town Center. "We are delighted that JCPenney was able to complete construction and open early this Spring," said Arthur N. Fuccillo, project director for Lerner. "JCPenney will be a wonderful complement to the current offerings of Hecht's and Lord & Taylor at Dulles Town Center."
A fourth anchor, Sears, will celebrate its Grand Opening on April 17th. The enclosed area of the mall, which will open Spring 1999, will feature 125 specialty shops, dining and entertainment merchants.
In addition to the mall, the 554-acre mixed-use development will contain 40 acres of retail pads around the mall, and will offer 4.5 million square feet of office and flex space, two hotels, and 1,100 residences. Dulles Town Center is located in the southeast corner of the intersection of Routes 7 (Leesburg Pike) and 28 (Sully Road).
