Lerner Breaks Ground on Remington Luxury Apartment Homes At Dulles Town Center

Dulles, VA - Lerner Enterprises of North Bethesda, Maryland announced today that it has begun construction of Remington at Dulles Town Center, a 406 unit luxury apartment home community to be located in Dulles, Virginia.
Located in eastern Loudoun County, Dulles Town Center is located five miles from Washington Dulles International Airport at the intersection of Routes 7 and 28, two of the regions major roads. The Route 28 corridor in Loudoun has become home to many major companies including AOL, MCI/Worldcom and Orbital Sciences.
Remington will consist of nine four-story residential buildings. Outdoor amenities will include a pool, tot lot, barbecue/picnic areas, outdoor amphitheater and soccer fields. A 8,000 square foot community clubhouse will hold a leasing center, community business and conference center, movie theatre, billiard room, aerobics room and a fitness club for residents. The project will begin delivery in May, 2000.
Remington's apartment mix will consist of 146 one-bedrooms, 232 two-bedrooms and 28 three-bedrooms. All apartments include dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers and optional security system. Other optional features include cathedral ceilings and fireplaces. Apartment sizes range from 801 to 2,030 square feet.
Remington is located within Dulles Town Center, a 554 acre, mixed-use project now under development in Loudoun County, Virginia. The project will include:
Dulles Town Center Mall, a 1.2 million square foot super-regional mall which opened in April, 1999.
1,100 residences including Colonnade Townhomes and three apartment home communities.
A 156 room Courtyard by Marriott hotel is scheduled to open in the fall of 2000. A future full service hotel and conference center is planned.
4.5 million square feet of office space known as The Corporate Office Park at Dulles Town Center.
A KinderCare Learning Center opened in May, 1999.
A 30 million dollar road network is complete.
Remington will be leased and managed by Lerner Corporation, an affiliate of Lerner Enterprises. Architect for the project is Niles Bolton of Alexandria, Virginia and the general contractor will be Clark Realty Builders of Bethesda, Maryland.
